Here at Oakwood, we are passionate about engaging children in the vital reality of faith in Jesus and the power of His Gospel.
We have organised our children’s ministry into 3 key age groups:
- Acorns - 0-4years
- Seedlings - 5-8years
- Mighty Oaks - 9-11years
Pre-Covid, all children would join with the whole congregation in worship before splitting into their separate groups in different parts of our building. Due to Covid restrictions, all children have remained as part of our in-person services. Activity packs are prepared each week and space has been created for children and their parents/carers to work on their own tables in the main hall as part of the service.
Later in 2021, Acorns will re-start to run parallel with our main services.
Our vision for Seedlings & Mighty Oaks is to transcend Sunday mornings. We will continue provide activity packs during the services ad the children remain as part of our corporate worship. In addition, we look forward to developing a rhythm of events, gatherings & activities for children and their families beyond the Sunday morning space.
